Silicone, grease, and other contaminants can create small craters known as fisheyes in a freshly sprayed finish. PPG Omni MX194 is an automotive paint additive formulated to help activated topcoats and clearcoats flow over these contaminants and produce a more uniform surface.

For Omni MTK single-stage paint, PPG specifies adding 0.5 ounce of MX194 per ready-to-spray quart. Usage may differ with other compatible coatings, so follow the current technical data sheet for the product being sprayed.
